Target shoppers flee 'suspicious' fire in kid's section of California store

(KTLA) – A Target store in California was evacuated and closed after a suspicious fire broke out in the children's section on Tuesday.Authorities received a call reporting the fire at a Target in Buena Park at about 7:15 p.m. The store was open at the time, prompting dozens of employees and shoppers to evacuate the building. “We thought it was a Halloween prop,” said witness Guillermo Santander. “All of a sudden the flame got bigger, so I started recording … It got pretty big real quick." 6-foot long boa constrictor found in Target shopping cart The video, published at Nexstar's KTLA, showed flames bursting toward the ceiling from a children's clothing rack. Injured hiker airlifted from Mount Colden

KEENE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Monday evening, New York State Police Aviation and DEC Forest Rangers responded to an injured hiker on Mount Colden. The hiker's mother called Ray Brook Dispatch and reported her son fell, hit his head, and sustained an unstable leg injury. Ranger O'Connor lowered Ranger Praczkajlo to the hiker. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 17-year-old was arrested in a shooting that happened on Friday, July 28, that left a 32-year-old victim hospitalized. Police say the victim is now at home recovering.
