To balance your article, you briefly quoted the warning of a mother who tragically lost her son to psychedelic drugs. But most of the article was devoted to the “healing” power of these dangerous drugs. You listed examples of how these drugs were a reliable palliative for PTSD in firemen.As a responsible newspaper, you needed to state categorically and emphatically that these drugs can be used only under strict clinical supervision where the dosage is skillfully managed by trained personnel. They are not experimental drugs for a casual user. Oakland PD investigating 'hate speech incident' along with school bomb threat

(KRON) -- Chabot Elementary School in Oakland was on lockdown Tuesday morning due to a bomb threat, the Oakland Police Department confirmed. The school was cordoned off with yellow police tape and officers from several agencies and K-9 officers are deployed at the school. Burglars targeting boats on Oakland estuary The bomb threat was called in around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday before school started. Students that were on the campus were safely reunited with parents, according to Oakland PD Capt. Lisa Ausmus.OPD was working with Alameda County Sheriff's Office K-9 bomb dogs to investigate. No explosive device was located. As of around 12:40 p.m., the campus was declared clear by OPD. (KRON) -- A Jewish fraternity at UC Berkeley was the target of an antisemitic act of vandalism over the weekend, according to a post from AEPi House. In the early morning hours Saturday, an individual or individuals allegedly approached the frat house and scattered shellfish on the premises, at the front door, and threw it in the windows.Shellfish is non-kosher and with the incident occurring on the first Shabbat of the school year, the incident, which was first reported in J., had the hallmarks of a deliberate antisemitic act. 15-year-old arrested for elder abuse, attempted carjacking in Alameda

(KRON) -- A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday in Alameda in connection with an attempted carjacking in the 1300 block of Sherman Street, according to the Alameda Police Department. Alameda PD dispatchers received a call at around 6 p.m. reporting an attempted carjacking. At the scene, officers located the victim and several witnesses, according to police. Officers ascertained that the victim had been sitting in their car when the suspect approached them and pulled them from the vehicle.
