Suspect in deadly Manor hit-and-run arrested, identified by police

MANOR, Texas (KXAN) -- The Manor Police Department has identified and arrested a driver connected with a deadly hit-and-run that happened off U.S. Highway 290 late in May. Manor PD identifies woman killed in apparent hit-and-run near U.S. Highway 290 Last month, a woman's body was found in a ditch near Gregg Manor Road and U.S. 290 westbound. MPD identified the woman as 54-year-old Alisa Allen. Police began investigating her death as a hit-and-run. Manor PD said in a Facebook post Monday that police identified the suspect as Kawaski Latham.Latham was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death, which is a second-degree felony.KXAN has reached out to Latham's attorney. Attorney General's office opens investigation into civilian death in Saratoga County

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The New York Attorney General's Office of Special Investigation has launched an investigation into the death of Anthony J. Zaremski. On May 23, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office and the United States Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant at 312 Foxwood Drive in Clifton Park. As they entered, Zaremski allegedly opened fire and struck two deputies. Deputies returned fire and shot Zaremski, who later succumbed to his injuries at the Albany Medical Center.

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Gloversville woman has been arrested following a burglary investigation, according to state police. Savahna Depp, 30, is facing multiple charges. On June 3 at 10:20 a.m., troopers responded to the area of State Route 10 in Ephratah for the report of an altercation. The investigation determined that Depp had allegedly entered an occupied home without permission to reportedly confront someone known to her. Police say that while in the house, she refused to leave and went on to damage some property. According to police, Depp then allegedly entered a neighboring business, confronted another individual known to her, and proceeded to push and place her hands around the victim’s throat. Albany man pleads not guilty to attempted murder charges

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An 18-year-old Albany male was arraigned in Albany County Court on Monday morning. Anthony Carter pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted murder in the second degree, one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and one count of reckless endangerment in the first degree. According to the indictment, Carter attempted to cause the death of three individuals with an illegal gun on March 17. The incident occurred in the area of Orange and Robin Streets. Former St. Louis alderman under federal indictment for insurance fraud

LOUIS - A former St. Louis alderman was indicted last week on allegations of committing insurance fraud while in office.Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Brandon Bosley was charged with three felony wire fraud charges on June 7.The grand jury's indictment was unsealed on Monday, June 12, when Bosley made his first appearance in federal court. Stolen pick-up used for ATM break-in at Bank of Franklin County

Boulder mother accused of killing infant son had postpartum mental health problems, affidavit says

A 29-year-old Boulder woman jailed in the killing of her 2-month-old son had postpartum mental health problems, according to an arrest affidavit.Boulder authorities have arrested and jailed Anna Englund for investigation of first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.Englund told a Boulder police officer that she took her son a couple of blocks away from their home at 902 Portland Place on Saturday while the baby’s father was in the bathroom and strangled him “because I didn’t want him to suffer in life like I have,” the affidavit stated. She told the officer “she was worried about all of the things that could happen” to her baby “because the world was ‘crazy’.”She stopped in front of a house around noon and believed no one saw her and “‘strangled’ with her hands” while the infant was in her lap, it said.
